It would be great if they could build a frat house upon completion of this project. I’m serious…attending a raging Greek parties is a must in order to get a full college experience. Why can’t students in w/c have the opportunity to par take in the fun and hazing as their peers?

The Express-Times Newsroom October 10, 2006The Lehigh Valley Alliance on Aging and the Lehigh Career & Technical Institute today will unveil the region’s first student-built Universal Design home designed to be more comfortable and accessible for older people and those with disabilities, a news release says. Wider doorways and lower countertops to accommodate wheelchairs and door and sink handles that are easier to operate are among the features. Lehigh Career & Technical Institute students are scheduled to finish building the home, at 4825 Spruce St. in North Whitehall Township, in May 2008. A Web site and DVD will document the features of the Universal Design home in hopes of educating builders and homeowners. The news release says a quarter of the Lehigh Valley’s population is older than 55, and 38 percent of people 65 and older live with a disability that necessitates assistance.
